The Ned Doha introduces its Pink Afternoon Tea, an elegant new ritual celebrating the art of indulgence and the beauty of shared moments. This limited-time experience blends timeless British afternoon tea traditions with contemporary patisserie, served within the refined surrounds of Millie’s Lounge.
Located at the heart of The Ned Doha, Millie’s Lounge offers a setting of understated sophistication, where soft light, refined interiors, and the sound of live piano create the perfect backdrop for an afternoon spent in style.
The Pink Afternoon Tea is a symphony of colour and craftsmanship, featuring an assortment of handcrafted pastries, delicate sandwiches, and signature blends that evoke a sense of refined comfort. Guests can enjoy sweet creations such as the Berry Pistachio Choux with pistachio praline and vanilla cream, the Mango Victoria Cake layered with mango compote and vanilla ganache, the Salted Caramel Tart with butterscotch and cocoa nibs, and the Raspberry Cheesecake with almond sablé and raspberry gel. Completing the offering are Rose & Cranberry Pink Scones, served with clotted cream, strawberry lemon jam, and mango curd, alongside a selection of classic savoury favourites including smoked salmon with dill sour cream, cucumber with olive lemon cream, and chicken with turmeric mayo and raisin.
Complementing the patisserie is an exquisite tea selection curated by The Ned, featuring both traditional infusions and signature blends. From Peach Oolong and Black Lychee Rose to Sakura Green and Jasmine Dragon Pearls, each cup offers a journey through layered aromas, floral notes, and gentle sweetness, the perfect accompaniment to an afternoon of relaxation and connection.
An elegant expression of The Ned’s signature hospitality, the Pink Afternoon Tea at Millie’s Lounge is designed as a celebration of femininity, craftsmanship, and contemporary elegance, a moment to pause, savour, and enjoy the finer details of life.
The Pink Afternoon Tea is available daily from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Millie’s Lounge, The Ned Doha, priced at QAR 180 per person or QAR 300 for two guests, inclusive of tea selection.
About The Ned:
Created in 2017 by Soho House Founder, Nick Jones, The Ned originated in London in the former Midland Bank headquarters, designed by Sir Edwin 'Ned' Lutyens in 1924. The space includes private members’ club Ned’s Club and a private events floor, alongside ten restaurants and 250 bedrooms which are available to the public.
The Ned expanded in 2022 to include The Ned NoMad in New York and in 2023 to include The Ned Doha in Qatar, with each building having their own architectural significance and history. Every property is slightly different depending on its location, but the ethos of The Ned remains the same; to create a space for like-minded professionals to meet, work and have a good time. Ned’s Club membership gives access to dedicated spaces such as members-only bars and restaurants, health clubs and rooftop spaces. The membership team also curates a program of monthly events, ranging from talks with thought leaders to seasonal parties and members’ spaces at festivals.
